2014 Restarting Cybulska + Partners Lighting Solutions with an advanced design team

2010 -2013 Founding and Starting Cybulska + Partner with Christian Uitz in Frankfurt. Projects for Deutsche Bahn, the German Railway Company, several cities and developing lighting solutions for monumental churches;  projects in ZhouShan/PRC, ShaoXing/PRG and Shanghai.

Herbert Cybulska was president of PLDA (Professional Lighting Designers’ Association) 2011-2014.

He is member of DTHG and LiTG

He is teaching lighting design at  Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences  (h_da)

2007 -2008 Lighting Installation in ancient and modern architecture in New York, Milan, Seoul, London and Shanghai as a director and lighting designer with strong media elements.

2006 – 2010 Joined L-Plan Lighting Design, Berlin, Germany as a partner. They realize lighting projects for architecture in Germany and world wide.

Since 2000 Teaching at Dasarts Institut for Performance Art Amsterdam, University of Applied Sciences  Wismar, Darmstadt, Frankfurt  and FWA Frankfurt

Since 2003 Worked for ROKA-Werke, Reuters, INTEL-Milano and PLDA as well as IALD as a Lighting Designer for events and fairs. Created set and lighting design for the National Theatre Weimar, Montpellier Dance, Dramatic Art Centre Tehran/Goethe Institut, Opera Lyon, Piccolo Teatro/COSMIT Milano, Zhongtai Lighting Holding China

2001 – 2003 Lighting Designer in resident at the Zurich Schauspielhaus, Switzerland

2000 Created the lighting design for the cultural program of the German Pavillon at the EXPO 2000 in Hannover, Germany

Since 1996 Membership of ELDA (European Lighting Designers Association), later PLDA

Since 1995 Co-operation on several, worlwide shown productions with Helena

Waldmann, a Director and Choreographer, and Work as a Lighting Designer for several Theatres and Operas, among these Accademica Filarmonica Romana, Nantes Opera, World-Wide-Videofestival Amsterdam, ars electronica Linz, Landestheater Tuebingen, MEGARON Athens and Old Opera Frankfurt. Also created event lighting design for Chrysler-Jeep, IVECO, Andersen Consulting, Accenture.

Since 1995 Diverse lectures, e.g for ELDA, Goethe University Frankfurt or DasArts Institute Amsterdam

1995 Graduated as a Master of Lighting Design at the Professional School Darmstadt, Germany

1991 – 1995 Technical director for Theaterhaus Frankfurt (special planning, lighting design and stage technology)

1987 – 1991 Worked for Land Hessen in the field theatre-, lighting- and media- technology and for the Youth Education Place Dietzenbach, Germany, as well as for further diverse theatre projects

Since 1984 Worked as a freelanced Lighting Designer and Photo Designer at theatre, for events and for architects, based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany
